She came in with low back pain.
She wanted to run again, feel strong, and not have to be so cautious about moving her body.
Our sessions helped and she felt better each time.
She promised herself she’d do the stretches, the mobility work.
But she didn’t.
Not because she was lazy—
But because she was wired to serve everyone else first.
Every time she carved out space for herself,
Something—or someone—needed her more.

Here’s a little more to my story:
I’ve been where you might be,
More times than I can count.
The ambition would rise up—
And the desire and determination to get unstuck would take over
So I’d pick up the weights…
Put on my shoes and head out for a run…
Only to end up on the couch, hours later, pain coursing through my back and legs.
A lump in my throat.
Tears in my eyes.
Because I just couldn’t do what I wanted to do.

I kept trying.

While I was in my own pain,
I was still helping my massage therapy patients get through theirs.

Now I play soccer again—something I hadn’t done in 11 years.
